Frequently Asked Questions
When will my ZenH2 ship?
ZenH2 is currently in pre-production, with engineering, certification, and manufacturing steps underway. Our trial production run is aimed to begin early 2027. Your position in the queue is secured from the date you place your reservation. Pre-order holders will receive updates on production progress and delivery timing via email.
Where does the hydrogen fuel come from?
Electricity comes from our proprietary energy cartridges. Each energy cartridge contains a powder fuel that reacts with water to release hydrogen, and that hydrogen is converted into electricity right inside the unit.
Is this safe to use indoors?
Yes. ZenH2 produces no emissions, no combustion, no exhaust, and no toxic fumes. Hydrogen is generated on demand within the unit and consumed immediately so it is never stored. The system will operate safely inside homes, apartments, tents, RVs, and other enclosed spaces.
What is the cartridge shelf life?
Cartridges are rated for 10+ years when stored in the manufacturer’s original packaging.
Do I charge the generator?
No charging is required. Power is produced in real time from the energy cartridge and water, so as long as a cartridge is loaded and the reservoir has water, the unit is ready to produce electricity on its own.
How long does it run on a single cartridge?
Each cartridge stores 1.6kWh of energy, and the unit outputs up to 1.6kW. Runtime depends on how much power your devices draw. A 160W refrigerator will run for about 10 hours on a single cartridge. An 80W CPAP machine will run for about 20 hours. A 20W lighting setup will run for about 80 hours.
Where do I get replacement energy cartridges?
Replacement cartridges will be available through the ZenH2 website and Amazon. Full details on availability and distribution will be shared as production approaches, and pre-order holders will receive ordering and fulfillment information ahead of shipping.
What if I change my mind after reserving?
Your $99 reservation fee is fully refundable at any time before shipping begins. EFG will provide a final sale price and the final specification of the product and power, after this if you decide not to proceed for any reason, you can request a full refund.
